Skiing in Andorra
Andorra is the budget-friendly surprise of the Pyrenees: large, modern ski areas, plenty of sunshine, a relaxed vibe and tax-free shopping in Andorra la Vella. It is a long drive from Belgium, but via Toulouse or Barcelona you are there in a few hours.

- Andorra is outside the EU: by car you pass customs on the way in and out, and tax-free purchases are capped.
- Flying to Toulouse or Barcelona and taking a bus or hire car (two to three hours) is the usual route.
- Winter tyres or chains are compulsory on mountain roads in winter; the Pas de la Casa border pass to France sits high and can close temporarily in heavy snow.
