The ski area
Snow Valley packs three pistes under one roof. The Grote Piste is 350 m long, 30 m wide and drops 64 m, enough for proper linked turns and a decent speed. The Oefenpiste, 100 m long with a 12 m vertical, is where beginners and children start, and the Funpark, 85 m with a 25 m vertical, has features for snowboarders and freestylers. Together they total about 535 m. All six lifts are magic carpets: no tows, no chairlifts, no stress for small children.
The hall markets itself as year-round, but note that it closes to the public after 24 May 2026, when the snow is reserved for international ski teams, and reopens on 31 October 2026. Within that window it is open daily.
Who is Snow Valley for?
Snow Valley is first and foremost a learning centre. The ski school takes children from a very young age, adults can book lessons before their first Alpine week, and the hourly pricing makes it easy to drop in for a quick session. Snowboarders use the Funpark. Experienced skiers will find the main piste pleasant for a warm-up but too short for a day; think of it as a gym for skiing rather than a resort.
Practical
From Antwerp it is about 80 km and an hour, from Brussels roughly 110 km and 1.25 hours; Brussels airport is 100 km away. Skiing costs 23.50 euros per hour for adults, 48 euros for an 8-hour card or 44.50 euros for the Weekend Special outside school holidays, with equipment hire on top. Wear gloves and a warm jacket: the hall is kept at winter temperatures all year, and book ahead for weekends and holidays.
