The ski area
Serfaus, Fiss and Ladis sit side by side on a high, sunny terrace above the Inn valley. The ski area stretches from 1,200 to 2,828 m and offers 214 km of slopes: 47 km blue, 112 km red, 27 km black and 28 km of ungroomed ski routes. Almost all of the 38 lifts are modern and fast, and 1,250 snow cannons keep the pistes in shape well into April.
It is not the biggest area in Tyrol, but it is one of the best organised. The slopes are wide and easy to read, the lift stations spacious and the queues short. Fast skiers will find enough challenge on the reds around the Masnerkopf and Lazid.
Who is Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis for?
This is the family ski resort par excellence. Children learn in one of three kids’ zones with fairytale characters, magic carpets and practice lifts. Parents can hand their offspring over to the ski school and enjoy a few hours of laps themselves. No children but a taste for peace, sunshine and comfort? You will be happy here too. Après-ski is limited to a few huts and bars; for a party, choose Saalbach or Ischgl instead.
Practical
Serfaus is car-free: you park on arrival and take the Dorfbahn, a free underground train that gets you to the lifts in minutes. Fiss and Ladis are smaller and quieter. From Belgium it is a long but easy drive. Make sure to buy your lift pass with the guest card from your accommodation: it is noticeably cheaper than the “without guest card” rate.
