The ski area
Les Saisies’ own slopes cover 84 km with 86 runs (17 green, 45 blue, 18 red and 6 black) and 29 lifts, between 1,150 and 2,069 m. The terrain is rolling and open, with long, easy blues over the plateau and a few reds and blacks off the Mont Bisanne and Chard du Beurre. Snowmaking covers the key runs, but the modest altitude means a mild spring will show.
The Espace Diamant pass adds Hauteluce, Notre-Dame-de-Bellecombe, Crest-Voland, Praz-sur-Arly and Flumet for 200 km of terrain and 194 runs in total. The local season runs from 12 December 2026 to 10 April 2027; the full link is open from 19 December to 3 April.
Who is Les Saisies for?
Les Saisies is made for families with young children and for anyone learning to ski. The village is compact, the nursery slopes sit right in the centre and the pace is relaxed. Intermediates can tour the Espace Diamant for a week without repeating themselves. Cross-country skiers get one of the best Nordic networks in France, with Olympic heritage. Experts and party-goers should look elsewhere: the blacks are few and the evenings are quiet.
Practical
From Belgium the drive is about 840 km and 8.5 hours, with the last climb from Albertville on an ordinary mountain road. Geneva airport is about 130 km away. Accommodation is mostly apartments and small hotels at sensible prices, and the lift pass is among the cheapest in Savoie, so a family week here costs noticeably less than in Les 3 Vallées.
