The ski area

Les 2 Alpes is a single, unlinked area that climbs steeply from the village at 1,300 m to the glacier at 3,600 m. It has 220 km of slopes and 96 runs: 18 green, 47 blue, 17 red and 14 black. By length the easy terrain dominates, with 143 km of green and blue against 39 km of red and 38 km of black. The 42 lifts include two 3S cable cars, a funicular through the mountain to the glacier and a string of fast chairlifts.

The layout is the opposite of most resorts: the glacier and the wide bowls at the top are the gentle part, while the long runs back down to the village are red and black. That makes the top a joy for intermediates and the bottom a test. Snowboarders have a well-known park and freestyle scene. The winter season runs from 28 November 2026 to 2 May 2027, with high-altitude skiing continuing on the glacier afterwards.

Who is Les 2 Alpes for?

This is a resort for people who want snow certainty and a good time. Groups of friends, snowboarders and intermediates who like big, sunny, high slopes are the core audience, and the village has enough bars and restaurants to keep everyone busy in the evening. Families can make it work, but the steep home runs and the busy main street make it less convenient than a purpose-built family resort.

How long is the drive from Brussels to Les 2 Alpes?

About 910 km and 9 hours via Luxembourg, Dijon, Lyon and Grenoble, then up the Romanche valley. From Antwerp it is around 955 km. Grenoble Alpes-Isère airport is 110 km away.

How much is a lift pass in Les 2 Alpes?

Is Les 2 Alpes good for beginners?

Partly. There are nursery slopes by the village and wide, gentle runs high up on the glacier, where the snow is best. The catch is that the runs home are red and black, so many beginners take the gondola down at the end of the day.
